I don't really want a 3d effect =P if I did I would of just made it in 3dsmax, but it's more supposed to by like an icon/feature that will be integrated into a site. I called it ball because its round lol.
I have added a reflection:
Ball
Put a line making it look like the reflection is on a table because rite now it just looks like there are two.
the reflection should always be part of the other image i think..?
Looks good, and Bobby i take offence to your sig. where is Cokemusic?? Eh?
I don't have coke music because it's not really a big thing on this forum. I also don't trust them. I don't think they are very secure. Shortly after my sis started going there my dad's computer started getting viruses.
Nah, Theres nothing wrong with it.Its easy to cheat on but otherwise the graphics are pritty well done. and it s made from CocaCola XD
Well Manga,
If you are shooting for a ball-type icon, I would choose an elipse gradient with the epicenter at the top lefthand corner of the "ball". I would also give it a smooth bevel - with an intensity of somewhere between 15 and 18. I whipped up what I thought looks like a ball in Fireworks:
Not quite sure if this is what you were thinking of, but I figured I would extend my advice anyway.
Good luck!

I am using Adobe Macromedia Fireworks to create a "shiny ball" effect and have done this so far, but if anyone knows how to improve please let me know.
I can't really see a ball. It kind of looks like a circle inside a circle. I'm not a Pixel art specialist but maybe take the middle circle out and work on dithering it?
Don't take my advice lol I know it's not the best. I would wait for a professional to give you help lol. Good luck finishing it.

This isn't pixel art in the sence that you mean lol, I am not looking for the complete ball effect, just the front on one.
It needs to be faded in from the edges, dark to light.
Lol i don't see a ball to, if you make it very small it can be a bullet point.
This is not a "Ball" Or a "Bullet Point"
It can be a ball because it doesnt have the right shading to it.
I recon it was meant to be a "Orb" From a tutorial i have seen on Pixel2life.com
Anyway nice effect.
Plus dont make it a "Bullet Point" Cause it would ruin it.
Its sorta of a Orb but still in development.
Good work though.
Please it isnt a ball if you wanted to make a ball do a circular shad from middle to outside using the gradient tool in Photoshop.
Thanks
Optavious

It looks like a WIP orb, but he says he's trying to me a ball. I'm confused.
I've seen it on Pixel2Life aswell. Even if its a tut its good.
To make it more 3D looking you should make the shading come down from the top left hand corner of the ball. But, so far, it doesn't look too bad.
I really have to strain myself to see the ball. I think it has to do with being either Left brain or Right Brain.lol
