Good find. I'm not too sure where they've gone :S
I hope it's still being developed and not a dead end as I really did appreciate the art and new original idea of the game. If it's gone, I'll be quite upset with who stopped development or at least find out that this was just a misunderstanding.

I'll be telling my grandkids that Soku is still 'Under Development' at the rate they move. Clear lack of time, money and management. I think it's silly to try and commercialise a hobby project before it's anywhere near ready. It's such a drag for both the staff and community.

Not taking yours or their side just yet, but how did you find out these facts? Did you speak to the developer/admin of the development?
I cannot agree with you if you've gotten these facts somewhere unreliable, but if it's reliable, please share!

I've been around this community almost since it began. I could spend hours discussing with you the many occasions and facts in which I base my opinion on.

We released. We kept it open. We closed it. We've moved on, something wrong with that? We haven't claimed to be in development for a while, nobody has been playing and it would be a waste of money to keep it online when we have other ambitions. Yes, we were going to re-brand and hopefully still will. But, money is short. Felipe has screwed us over and ran off with $100 and we cannot find a decent enough artist to re-launch.
Nothing was commercialised, we released it as a hobby. The only outgoing funds were VPS bills, no advertising or anything to try and commercialise the product.
Just accept that products die, Pix. We released and we closed. For now at least. It's hard to gain funds when the staff have more important interests on their mind.

If soku is really dead in the water with it's current owners, I'd suggest to whoever owns the assets: have an auction.
I know I'd throw down some serious cash for a piece of the considerably large pie of art assets Soku has, including the JabbaTown art purchased by the Soku team.
And, for everyone on the forum, Pix knows his shit. He's been around longer then the majority of active members in this community and he's seen many, many mmo's start and fail.. As have most of us who have been here since 2006

You and me both.
Instead, Pix does know his shit, indeed. I've seen him around since I first started coming to MMOCCForum, a few years ago along with Gray and a many other veterans who no longer roam these forums.
