Maintenance

Constantly, I swear this maintenance is turning off such companies who would want their product advertised 100% during up time and downtime. Habbo has gone down the bad path of having a maintenance break everytime I've been on for about a month and if it doesn't stop it'll become a big thing that people will start to get annoyed by and suggest using a more uptime game e.g emulation of habbo hotel, cause it's free, alot of people seem to use them more often now and they can house the same release as habbo hotel.

What sort of maintenance times are we talking about? I remember back in 07? when they started closing some of the hotels down at bedtime.

Well it's around 4-5 AEST, and I feel this is unfair, if they wanted to merge us, they should put maintenance on at suitable times for both, or share the downtime with two countries. USA - Every 2nd week, same as Australia etc etc.

I remember that Willy, because they didnt have any moderators or something?

And the merge is clever but bad in some ways. I have noticed years ago the UK hotel would havel ike 9,000 people on, the USA would have 4,000 and the CA hotel would have something like 1,000 and AU would be [redacted-phone] when i checked because of the time differences.

Now its like 7,000 people on all of these merged!

But back on topic - they cant do that really. For the UK, if they did it at like 10pm, it'd be in the day for the USA and Canada, they cant do it.

The ads on Habbo are PPC, meaning if the ad isn't being shown the advertiser isn't paying jack.

God, I know right. These advertisements are really. REALLY annoying, so what if you don't pay to buy club membership, why should we be filled with ads with commercial stuff within the game like we're being flooded as the homepage.

Habbo has lost their way, you can see that through all of their planning & marketing ideas they're just trying to get you to give them more and more money.

That's my opinon however,
note - I haven't have one single day after the merge where the hotel has been on for the whole 24 hours.

er, pay per click and conversion based. lol.

i don't mind the ads, well moreso because I don't actually play habbo but from a marketers perspective, I see why they are needed and help generate revenue that keeps sulake alive.

Of course they are trying to get users to generate more revenue for them, they are a corporation. There is nothing wrong with that. It is just an obvious goal.

And it's working for them.

This thread is confusing me, you pissed that Habbo has so many 'maintenance' calls and you thing thats bringing Sulake to a downfall?;
I can tell you for a fact, with a habbo hotel server in every continent a maintenance call isn't going to bring Sulake to a downfall, they have beat the worlds most played/viewed/wanted MMO(RPG) and will always be, they can throw 10 maintenance calls aday and sales will still rocket higher then the Empire State Building, Also be aware I'm not calling you stupid saying that it's stopping Sulake from getting money, just that it's highly unlikely that your messege will spread across Sulake like Rebecca Black - Friday did and if it did, Well Sulake did have 20 celebreties visit the hotel with their support and stuff;

Goon you later
