Can you give us a brief introduction about who you are, the community you work for, and the position you have there?
Im Designkai, im a Web Developer at Solace City, although i am rarely seen around the forums. My main job is running/making/maintaining the main site and helping out Jordan.
Favorite food? Drinks? Songs? TV shows? Movies?
No favourites in the way of food drink or movies, but when it comes to music i am a massive metal head. Things like Mudvayne, Korn, Slipknot etc are likely to be found on my playlists.
What would you consider your accomplishments up to this point in time?
Hmm, that all realy depends on if your talking about inside Solace or not because i work for many sites. My biggest Solace accomplishment would have to be making the poll... i know that doesnt sound like much, but it realy is and i was quite new to the whole thing... cut me some slack.
Any failures you'd like to mention?
There are failures, none that i can think of that are Solace related though. I must say i regret that time i tried to drop of a ledge while doing a wheelie in a weel chair.
How did you find out about Solace City?
I first found out through Spire when it was in its very first days of creation, Spire wont remember that though. It was Jordan who got me interested in the idea.
How did you get your position there?
It was straight from Spire, Jordan put in the good word for me because me and Jordan had been coding together for quite a while.
Are you a freelance designer or do you work for a company?
I am a designer by trade, but not for solace. I do freelance work, usually free of pay, but mainly for the fun of it and to build my skills.
How would you describe the Solace City community?
The Solace City community is a friendly place that always seems to be alive and active, to the point that it sometimes amazes me.
Are there any other projects you're involved in? If so, which? Do you plan on getting involved in any others?
Well yes, but because i am a freelancer there are so many and my jobs can vary so greatly. My two main are designkai.com and pixeldrip.com both of which i own and run.
Describe your typical workday schedule.
Hmm, my schedule. Wake up, go to school, come home at 4:30'ish and then skate/ride my bike/do stupid things with friends until about 6.30 then i go inside and do assignments and do my freelance work until i go to bed.
Tell us something we don't already know about you.
Haha, what kind of question is that? Well, im a horrible judge at personality when it comes to relationships. I always seem to find someone who will treat me bad.
If you were to add one feature to any MMOCC, what would it be? Why?
Im not actualy too sure, thats a tough question. I gues it would just be better to have it as more of a 3D thing, but then we would be venturing into MMORPG's.
Any advice to those wanting to start their own virtual chat?
Take it slow, like anything on the internet it can be hard to get off the ground.
Where do you see the MMOCC market in ten years?
It depends on the attitude of teenagers in ten years. I can see it growing bigger then its already enormety because kids are getting more used to computers and the newer generations are becoming far more computer literate at an early age.
Where do you see Solace City in ten years?
Not a clue, you would have to ask Spire that one. Were aiming for something big obviously, so lets try hard to reach our goal.
What does the future hold for Mr. Designkai?
Hopefully fame and fortune lol, but who knows. I just have to take life one day at a time and work towards my goals.
