I think that most girls like it when guys try to be romantic. I don't really know this girl but you do so you must know something about her. Try to come up with something special and just go for it. If you get turned down it's better then being too late or not asking.
Hmm, so you want to do something unique?
Well, what if you had a bunch of balloons that had notes in them saying:
a) Different things you like about her
b) Each note has one word asking her to go to prom with you and she has to put them together
And of course on the balloons you would attach a note telling her to pop the balloons. Then you can have them delivered during class or whatever.
That is one way to do it. Hmmm, let me think of some other things...
What if you were to get car paint or whatever and put like "You, Me, Prom?" and your name and put it on while you are at school so she sees it when she is leaving school?
I don't know. Those might be cheesy. But at least they are something. And even if the way you ask is dorky, at least you asked her and did something more than just the ordinary "Hey, will you go to prom with me?"
Good luck

Ask her.
If she says no, then cry.

Here is a secret. Romantic doesn't really have to be as hard as you think it might be.
Romantic can just be doing something that shows you've actually put thought into how you ask her and show her you care.
Just think about it... Put effort and show her you actually care FTW.
And if after all that, she says no, list yourself on ebay for a buck. Nobody can turn down a cheap date. Hehe

Put a gun to her head. Ok not the most romantic idea, but it's unique. How many people do you know have been asked to a prom at gun point?
Do what i do- walk up to the girl, flick your fringe, give them a cheeky grin and they'll melt like butter in a hot pan:}
If you're totally out of your depth you could always ask on a forum?
I like the fringe one to be honest. sounds hot. +rep to 3D

But first I gotta spread some around x

If you cut up letters from the titles of newspapers stick them down on paper to spell a message and post it into her house, she'll definitely go with you... or possibly ring the police .

I know this plan might seem really out there... you know, wild, wacky, crazy, and unpredictable, but it might just work!
1.) Walk up to her
2.) Open your mouth
3.) Say: "Will you go to prom with me?"
4.) Let her answer
5.) [If yes...] Sweet deal!
5.) [If no...] Ask someone else.
It's nice to be asked in a really elaborate fashion, but it also puts a lot of pressure on the girl, when it comes to her answer. Just keep it simple, she'll appreciate you asking either way.

All of you boys made me LOL!
Get a piece of paper and fold it into a butterfly, flower or any shape that you might think she'll like ( I'd say butterfly or a flower but do what's easier for you), then on one side write down that your asking her out to the prom. Give her the folded paper and await for her response. :3
( DON'T FORGET TO WRITE YOUR NAME )
