Okay, thanks for the feedback. I will work on the layout now
make it recognisable its a school :')
I like it and i dont. Dont really like the font on the navigation buttons. Maybe change the colour and the font?
Thanks, Lewis
Thanks, Lewis
Yeah the font on the buttons were my fault, However no worries. A new layout is being coded as we speak. Our current design idea is to make the layout in the theme of perhaps a school desk with maybe a crved rubber displaying the logo and bits of scrap paper to be used as the content boxes with all the extra little designs and tweaks to go with it.
Opinions?

Its ALRIGHT. I don't think it really fits into your theme though. Everythings cool, apart from the tabs - tabs need working on... Can't exactly pinpoint what i don't like about them though.

I still think the layout rules. It looks really awesoem
Well, the new layout will look much better. Stay tuned...

I'm glad you are improving upon the design instead of assuming your opinion is more important than the consumer's. On another note, I do like the current design. However, your new design sounds promising.
Good luck!
Good luck!
What about a background
The current one is nice but this new one you're talking about sounds great. Can't wait to see it.
Make a school hall with each door being a navi button or something.

It's a good start. Just the content boxes do not suit the rest of it. If you just change the content area to suit the rest, you could have a decent layout there
1 suggestion, I think ads should be placed at the side or bottom of the page, the ads take attention away
from the site if they are right at the top
from the site if they are right at the top
Volcom, the "ad" section on the Virtual High website was simply to advertise Virtual High competitions, new furniture releases etc. Not the average Google adwords.
Looks decent, i think the new layout sounds pretty cool and it goes more with the theme of your game so good luck with new layout.
I really like the old chalkboard.
I think you should make the layout bright with animations and shizz all around it
The layout will most likely decide the users first impression of the mmo
So you want that first impression to be good

ok i have just signed up to this forum, because i have been tracking the progress of virtual high since i was told about it ages ago but anyway, going on the samples released of the client, the website looks pretty dreadful compared to what i have seen released so far. i will probably get moaned at for saying this but im offering my opinion, but the beta site looks a bit habbo-ish and basic. Im not ruling out using pixel art for the overal design but make it have more of a WOW factor.
compared to you other work .. im sorry its not good
but nice job anywhos

Yes, we hate it too.
As stated, we have begun construction of our new website template with brief details of it located above this post and beyond.

I like it, but the colors used in it could be improved to make it look better.
The grey should be changed to a brighter color, rather than dull. Possibly something to match the content boxes (As snappo stated about the content boxes not matches the rest.
I love the buildings
