Can you give us a brief introduction about who you are and your community?

I am Laurie aka VyeOlin on Fusion City located @ www.fusion-city.com and am half-owner of FC. We are a MMOC currently in private beta, soon to be open to the public.

What would you consider your MMOCC's accomplishments up to this point?

Getting all the needed graphics completed was a major accomplishment. Also putting together the development team that we currently have was no easy task. And last but not least, getting some very awesome sponsors as we only want to bring the public the best. We'll be having a public announcement soon about our latest partnership accquisition.

Any failures your chatting community has faced?

Not directed at anyone in particular, but people that overstate their abilities seems to be a common factor and has affected us in the past.

How did you get your position on Fusion City?

Long story there, but to put it in a nutshell, I was introduced to the owners at the time about 3 years ago and agreed to become the head moderator for Fusion. Certain events occured at that time that required a major decision and Derek and I made the decision to file for legal status of the company so that we could obtain sponsors, open a bank account, etc.

How would you describe the community aspect of Fusion City?

Fusion has a great community. They have had to wait for unexpected delays, such as avatar creation and now coding, but most of them have been so great about it.

Fusion City has been open for a couple years, how has it changed community and programming wise?

The community has grown substantially and we have maintained a lot of our earliest fans which has been great. We've gotten a lot of input from the community as to what they want and are implementing a lot of those requests. As far as programming, our current code is basically dead and will be scrapped. Our new code is completely rewritten and will introduce some features that have never been seen before on any online chat.

Public release is coming soon! Anything in particular you'd like to tell us about it? How long the wait may be? New features?

Well, as I stated above, we have made recent sponsor/partnership deals and the major one was the partnership acquisition of Panda software. We plan to implement their products into our subscription rates and provide customers with low cost, top-of-the-line anti-malware protection for their computers.

Any advice to those wanting to start their own virtual chat?

Research and lots of it. Learn from those that have failed as well as those that have succeeded.

Where do you see the MMOCC market in ten years?

I see it heading into the same direction as gaming, more into 3D, with advanced AI and graphics.

Where do you see Fusion City in ten years?

We are planning to expand into those areas as well.

What does the future hold for Ms. VyeOlin?

Who knows? I just hope Fusion City helps a lot of people decide what they want to do in 10 years, be it programming, marketing, graphics. If we have helped any of them come to a decision about their future(s) then we've accomplished a lot already. There's a lot of talent out there just waiting to be discovered.
